At AI Doodles, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

1. Photos and Images

We access your camera and photo library (with your permission) to allow you to select drawings for transformation. Your images are:

• Temporarily processed by Google Gemini AI via Firebase Cloud Functions
• NOT permanently stored on our servers
• Immediately discarded after transformation is complete
• Optionally stored in your personal iCloud account (premium feature only, user-controlled)

2. Local Device Data

The following information is stored locally on your device only:

• Your artwork creations and transformations
• App preferences (language selection, settings)
• Usage statistics (total images generated, favorite art styles)
• Session information (session count, last active date)

3. Analytics Data (Firebase Analytics)

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand app usage and improve our service. This includes:

• App lifecycle events (launches, screen views)
• Feature usage (artwork transformations, style selections)
• Device information (model, iOS version, app version)
• Crash reports and performance metrics
• Timestamps of user actions

4. Subscription Data (RevenueCat)

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. This service collects:

• Anonymous customer ID (linked to Firebase Auth)
• Subscription status and purchase history
• User attributes (session count, favorite art style, device model, app version)
• App Store receipt information

5. Anonymous Authentication (Firebase Auth)

We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to provide secure API access and enforce usage limits. This creates a unique, anonymous identifier for your device that:

• Does NOT contain any personal information
• Is used solely for technical purposes (rate limiting, API security)
• Cannot be used to identify you personally
• Is automatically created in the background (no user interaction required)

• Image Processing: Transform your drawings using Google Gemini AI
• App Functionality: Provide core features and personalization
• Analytics: Understand app usage and improve user experience
• Subscription Management: Process purchases and manage subscription status
• Rate Limiting: Enforce usage limits (5 free, 100 premium transformations per day)
• Technical Improvement: Identify and fix bugs, optimize performance

• Local-First: Most data is stored locally on your device

• iCloud Sync: Premium users can optionally enable cloud backup to their personal iCloud account
• Encryption: All network communication uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS)
• No Permanent Server Storage: We do NOT permanently store your images on our servers

Data Retention

• Images: NOT retained on servers (temporary processing only)
• Local Data: Stored on your device until you delete the app
• Analytics Data: Retained by Firebase according to their data retention policies
• Subscription Data: Retained by RevenueCat for subscription management purposes
• iCloud Data: Retained in your personal iCloud account (you control retention)

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

AI Doodles is designed for children and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

• We do NOT knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13
• All data collection is anonymous and uses technical identifiers only
• Parents and guardians control all app permissions (camera, photo library, notifications)
• No social features, chat, or user-generated content sharing with other users
• All third-party services (Firebase, RevenueCat) are COPPA-compliant

If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete such information from our systems.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of your personal data
• Request deletion of your personal data
